13 European communist youth organisations support students' and dockworkers' struggle

13 European communist youth organisations issued a joint statement in which they welcome the mobilizations of pupils, students and workers currently taking place in a number of European countries and express their solidarity with the global mobilization of dockworkers on 30 October.

The text was signed by the Youth Front (Austria), Communist Youth of the Communist Workers’ Party of Finland, Union of Communist Youth (France), Communist Youth of Greece, Conolly Youth Movement (Ireland), Workers Party Youth (Ireland), Front of Communist Youth (Italy), Communist Youth Movement (Netherlands), Revolutionary Communist Youth League (Bolsheviks) (Russia), Collectives of Young Communists (Spain), Communist Youth of Sweden, Swiss Communist Youth and Communist Youth of Turkey:

"We, the Communist Youth who sign the statement, welcome the shocking mobilizations of pupils, students and young workers that have taken place in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Albania and other European countries in recent weeks, fighting for studies, work, and a life at the height of the possibilities offered by the 21st century. The rivers of youth that rush onto the streets of Europe create images of optimism and hope. They demonstrate that the organized people, with their struggle, can leave their mark on developments.

We denounce the repression unleashed by the bourgeois states, with injuries to protesters, even students, thousands of arrests, as well as the attempt to slander the struggles. It is confirmed that anti-popular politics has repression as a necessary complement, along with the attempt to manipulate.

We young communists are at the forefront of this struggle, highlighting that the causes that bring young people to the streets are common. It is the EU of monopolies and war preparations that gives billions for war equipment and to increase the profits of business groups in their competition with rival centers, but considers the needs of the people and the youth to be “wasteful” and a “cost”. It is the system of exploitation and class barriers, which for the interests of a handful of capitalists sacrifices the needs of workers, young people and working-class families every day.

We express our solidarity with the great international strike of dockers on October 30 in over 100 ports on 4 continents, which will be a high point in the shocking struggles that are underway. We support their struggle for ports of the people and peace and not bases for the imperialists. Dockers show the way of solidarity and the common struggle of the people, the only one that can really put obstacles in the plans of the bourgeois classes, the imperialist alliances and their staffs.

We continue! We are strengthening our struggle throughout Europe against our common enemy, capitalism. For the new generation to live as it truly deserves, the only way is to fight to overthrow the matrix of dead ends we face, the capitalist system. For the society of socialism - communism, the only one that can truly put our lives at the center by abolishing the exploitation of man by man.

We are making history all over Europe!

Money for our needs, not for war slaughterhouses!"
