Sudanese CP on political initiatives and call for dialogue

• Flooding the political arena with initiatives is a means of prolonging the war and perpetuating the existing parasitic system, which is based on plundering and looting the country's resources and wealth for its own interests.
• The de facto authority in Port Sudan is seeking to gain legitimacy, reproduce the parasitic system against which the people rose up in the glorious December Revolution, and find a political base for its continued existence.
• The Sudanese Communist Party rejects any process, regardless of its form or nature, that leads to reproducing the crisis, perpetuating its causes and consequences, including the war, under the guise of political initiatives.

Our patient and steadfast people,

There is no doubt that flooding the political arena with initiatives under the current circumstances amounts to prolonging the suffering of citizens by postponing the fundamental task of stopping the fighting and returning to the path of the revolution. This is instead of initiatives that mean nothing other than continuing the war and serving the interests of parasitic capitalism, including Islamists and other social forces loyal to the de facto authority whose interests are tied to the former regime and its parasitic approach, as well as to the interests of regional and international capitalist networks that benefit from their influence over Sudan, its resources and its geopolitical position, and are to a great extent linked to the war economy and the plundering of resources.

Therefore, the multiplicity of initiatives, including the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, allows for moving from one initiative to another without reaching the point of committing to ending the war. This turns these initiatives into one of the means that enable these forces to work towards prolonging the war, using it as a primary means of plundering wealth and imposing their influence over Sudan for as long as possible, while preparing and arranging the political landscape in a manner that serves these objectives.

The incitement of tribal sentiments, the promotion of racism, and attempts to revive native administration structures in order to conceal the real causes behind the outbreak and continuation of the war are among the methods used to obscure the real conflict between the classes that own and those that do not, between those who plunder the country's wealth and those whose wealth is plundered throughout the country. They use their sons as fuel for a war driven by their ambitions, destroying the country.

This poses a grave danger to the stability and security of communities living alongside one another and threatens them even in areas that have not yet been reached by the fighting. It also poses a danger to the unity of the country and the integrity of its territory.

Our people,

The call for Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, while the war continues, cannot constitute a path towards seeking peace. It is nothing more than an attempt to reunify and reorganise the forces that have an interest in continuing the war and maintaining the coup authority by providing it with a false political and national cover.

It should be borne in mind that the Port Sudan authority is the one calling for this dialogue, and that it appointed the members of its committee from the very faction hostile to the revolution and its principles of freedom, peace and justice. It is no secret that the coup authority, which determined the location of the dialogue and the conditions for participation and granted temporary immunity to some of its opponents, was seeking a dialogue and agreement similar to what was reached in the Framework Agreement. This is what it has been pursuing since the coup of 25 October 2021 and the war of 15 April 2023, while conveying to the forces invited to the dialogue that it now holds the initiative and possesses the machinery of war that continues, whether they agree with it or not.

So far, however, this offer has not received the desired response inside Sudan except from those who benefit from the current situation. Nor has this dialogue received the support of regional and international external forces, whose interests intersect across different axes.

Al-Burhan's initiative was stillborn. Withdrawals from its committee, falsely described as independent, are now occurring one after another, reaffirming what is already certain: the Port Sudan de facto government has no legitimacy among the people and is completely isolated from Sudan's broad political and social spectrum.

Its insistence on continuing with these lacklustre activities confirms that it has settled for its own loyalists and the opportunistic forces it created with its own hands, naively believing that this distorted initiative could deceive a people yearning for peace. Its shallow assumptions have also led it to believe that the initiative could appease the international community and the mechanisms it has mandated to put an end to the armed conflict in Sudan.

This reveals that the initiative is in fact intended to unify the political camp supporting this authority and to create some form of legitimacy for the coup leaders to govern the Sudanese state — something their authority has been seeking since the coup of 25 October 2021 and continues to seek to this day.

Our people,

We have all suffered the harshest forms of hardship in our daily lives because of this war, as well as the absence of security and safety. Collectively, we have also endured the pain of loss, displacement and seeking refuge.

Therefore, we have no alternative but to strengthen our unity and organise our ranks in order to return gloriously to the path of the revolution, for which peace is one of its fundamental and uncompromising principles.

This requires us to work together to end the war and overthrow those who promote it in their various positions, both inside and outside the country, ultimately achieving democratic rule that puts the country on the path of radical change and eliminates the causes of armed conflict.

Victory belongs to the peoples.
