Communist Party of Argentina analyses Milei's position on Malvinas

Here is the entire statement which discusses the real motivating force behind the government on the Malvinas (Falkland) Islands issue:

“To think that his traitorous government will now defend the Malvinas cause and our national sovereignty is as absurd as believing that his economic policies, which have plunged us deeper and deeper into debt just to eat and pay exorbitant utility bills, have lifted millions of Argentinians out of poverty.

Milei's admiration for Margaret Thatcher, his speech in favour of the “self-determination” of the Falkland Islanders, the flight of gold from the Central Bank to England, his complete lack of protest against oil drilling in the waters surrounding our islands, the authorization of a US military base in Ushuaia to support the NATO base in the Malvinas, and the permission granted to a British oil tanker to operate in the occupied port of Tierra del Fuego are just some of the many facts that clearly demonstrate that the flag he defends is not exactly the Argentine flag.

The ban on fans bringing in flags of our islands and their condemnation of the protest by the Scaloneta supporters, who proclaimed “The Falklands are Argentine” on the field after defeating the England team, makes it clear which side this puppet of imperialism is playing for.

Let's unite all our struggles against the austerity measures that are killing our people and against the surrender of our homeland that is turning us into a colony.
