Communist Party of Britain organises artists against fascism

The Communist Party of Britain (CPB) announced that its Culture Commission is putting on a day devoted to art, discussion, and resistance and welcomes all cultural workers, such as writers, musicians, painters, video game developers and film-makers.

The announcement said, "As we are confronted with a world-historic decision between socialism and barbarism, while pogroms are taking place on our streets and fascism has become normal at the highest levels of power. Cultural workers should take part in forming a united front.

From the Artists’ International Association of 1933 to Rock Against Racism and the Cable Street Beat -  we carry on the struggle."

The speakers at the event will be Michael Rosen, Alexei Sayle, Martin Rowson, Fran Lock, Arthur Smith, Andy Croft, Victoria Holmes and others.

There will be Performances from the Craic Killers, Grup Yorum, Sean Cooney, Kate Fox and others.

There will be three aims of the event:

Defeat the fascist threat through British culture; platform working-class artists for cultural democracy and build a sustainable association of anti-fascist artists.

The event will be held on Saturday 10 October 2026 at Newington Green Meeting Hall, London at 11:00–23:00.
