The Stuttgart branch of the German Communist Party (DKP) supported the mobilisation held at Schlossplatz on 7 October 2026, calling for an end to the war in Gaza and opposing Germany’s political and military support for Israel.
German Communist Party supports demonstration for Gaza
The demonstration, organised by the Palästinakomitee Stuttgart and its supporters, took place on the third anniversary of the Al Aqsa Flood operation on 7 October 2023. It highlighted the continuing suffering of Palestinians and the wider consequences of the war across West Asia.
For DKP, solidarity with Palestine is inseparable from the struggle against militarism and imperialist policies. The party opposes German arms exports to Israel and criticises the German government’s political and military cooperation with the Israeli state. It emphasises that Germany must end its support for military operations and instead contribute to a political settlement that guarantees Palestinian rights.
The mobilisation also formed part of the DKP’s broader campaign against German rearmament and military involvement abroad. The party links opposition to war with the defence of peace, international solidarity and the right of peoples to determine their own future.
