Communist Front - Italy supports general strike

Communist Front - Italy took part in the demonstrations that took place all over the country for the general strike.

Demonstrations and transport disruptions took place across Italy on the 29th of May during a nationwide general strike organised by unions. Marches and rallies took place in a number of cities, Rome, Milan, Naples, Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Turin, Palermo, and Catania among them.

The workers protested rising living costs, job insecurity, and increased military spending. They demanded higher wages and pensions, an end to evictions and insecure employment, and opposition to the high cost of living generated by wars.

The workers also condemned the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian and Lebanese people and called on Italy to suspend political and commercial relations with Israel.

Communist Front participated  in the demonstrations and stated that "the general strike is our weapon against rearmament and war economy. Today the workers raise their voices all over Italy. We can determine the political agenda of this country. We have proven this and we will continue to do so."
