The Communist Party of Sweden (SKP) had a contingent in the demonstration. The Communist Party of Denmark, the Communist Party of Norway, Tudeh Party of Iran, the Sudanese Communist Party and the Communist Party of Greece also joined the contingent. Slogans such as “Withdrawal from NATO can only happen in the fight against capital, with the SKP!” were shouted.
According to rikpunkt.nu, the demonstration began with a speech in Furutorpsparken where Zahira Sarhan from the SKP party board was the first speaker and highlighted the state's lies and war plans: "In order to increase the business community's access to exploitation, the state must sell war as the only possibility and that it is you with your life as an effort that will be sacrificed for this sacred purpose." Furthermore, it was made clear that NATO is not the so-called "defense alliance" that the parliamentary parties want it to appear as, but that it is in fact a terrorist network that leaves misery and death in its wake. NATO is used by the bourgeoisie as one of many imperialist tools to curb the development of socialism and peace with the sole purpose of continuing the exploitation of the working class.
After the speeches, the demonstration march continued through Helsingborg.
