The Communist Party of Argentina has reaffirmed its call for the immediate impeachment of President Javier Milei, his government and the Supreme Court, launching a unified initiative with political, trade union, human rights and social organizations to put an end to the government’s austerity, repression and attacks on national sovereignty
Communist Party of Argentina calls for Milei’s impeachment
At a press conference held at the CTA Autónoma, the Communist Party of Argentina (PCA) and its allies reiterated: “When people cannot make ends meet, we cannot wait until the elections.”
The initiative calls for the unity of all struggles alongside the constitutional mechanism of impeachment to remove Milei and his government as soon as possible. The organizations denounced the “gang of criminals” that has structured its plan of austerity, national surrender and repression through “bought laws and unconstitutional decrees.”
PCA emphasized the need to unite the broadest forces against the government’s attacks, bringing together political, trade union, human rights and social organizations, as well as collectives targeted by Milei’s chainsaw policies. The statement after the event stressed the need to destroy the chainsaw that continues to destroy the rights of the Argentine people and the country’s sovereignty on a daily basis.
PCA also calls for the construction of a political and programmatic alternative capable of advancing toward the “refoundation and liberation of the Homeland.”
Concluding the statement, PCA called for an end to what it denounced as a “government that starves the people and sells out the Homeland,” urging the transformation of popular anger into organized rebellion and popular power.
