CPI(M) marches in Raniganj against prices

Communist Party of India (Marxist) marches against spiking prices

The CPI(M) Raniganj Area Committee started a march from their party office to protest against the price hike of essential commodities including petrol, diesel, cooking gas and to demand inclusion of legal voters in the SIR.

In a brief meeting after the procession, the leaders of the CPI(M) criticized the BJP's double engine government and said that the BJP is spreading poison in the minds of the people in the name of religion.

“Instead of ensuring the livelihood of the working people, it is brokering the corporates. The only fight for the livelihood of the people is the red flag. After promising to provide two hundred units of free electricity before the elections, it is now pressuring the people of the state to install smart meters.”

There is a call to intensify the movement against smart meters.
