The Communist Party of Turkey issued a statement regarding the recent developments on the so-called "resolution process." The government -who is using the process to strengthen its Neo-Ottomanist policies- and its allies, now including the Kurdish national movement, are labelling any kind of opposition to this process as "foreign-backed."

The broader People’s Alliance camp has become increasingly eager to dismiss any form of social resistance to the “resolution process” and the imposition of a new constitution by labelling it as “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
The restructuring of the Middle East, led by international capital under the leadership of the United States and Britain, through new trade, energy, logistics and production networks, as well as attempts to fragment the countries of the region along ethnic and sectarian fault lines, is indeed “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
The transformation of developments in Turkey into bargaining chips for broader and more destructive scenarios—such as encircling Iran or ensuring Israel’s regional security, as well as concessions to NATO and capitulation to the United States—is “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
Under the guise of concepts such as peace and democracy, turning workers in Türkiye and the countries of the region into a reservoir of cheap, precarious labour subjected to the harshest working conditions, for the sake of multinational monopolies’ pursuit of profit, is “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
Instead of living with dignity as citizens of the Republic in an egalitarian and secular social order, being fed tales of brotherhood on a sectarian and neo-Ottomanist footing, while effectively planting dynamite beneath the foundations of Turkey, is “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
Any process that would undermine the Turkish working class’s struggle for a classless, exploitation-free, secular and independent Turkey, that is conducted in accordance with the interests of the imperialist and capitalist system that is itself the source of the problem, and that deepens social divisions, is “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
No one will be able to silence or stigmatise the legitimate opposition that is rising against processes which, concealed behind a false rhetoric of being “domestic and national,” tie the country’s resources, future, independence and sovereignty to the plans of imperialism, by simply labelling that opposition as “foreign-backed and politically motivated.”
