On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Attica Regional Organization of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) carried out a demonstration in the center of Athens.

According to 902.gr, hundreds of members and friends of KNE gathered at the beginning of Ermou Street, sending a decisive message of struggle against all drugs and addictions.
There, widely distributing the KNE announcement with the slogan "We think clearly, we act collectively, we live truly", they spread the message that "the life that 'fills' us is conquered through collective action, with us as protagonists in the struggle for a life with rights", that "freedom is to act consciously, sovereign of ourselves and not to be trapped in molds and standards created by the system of exploitation" and that "the exciting moments, the great emotions are hidden in the fight for life and not in resignation, illusion and flight".
Afterwards, a picket was held on the main streets of the city, starting from Ermou and reaching Gazi, where thousands of young people discussed with KNE members the Organization's positions against drugs and addictions, such as addiction to gambling, gaming and social media.
The members of the Organization also issued a call for the people and the youth to march together with KKE and KNE for a different attitude to life, on the path of overthrow, for Socialism - Communism, with the working person-producer of social wealth and his needs to be the protagonist and not be on the margins of social life, against the rotten capitalist system.
