Communist and left parties of India held a rally in Delhi for housing problems

Communists of India hold a rally for housing issues

A protest was held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi at the call of the joint Left parties over the issues of housing for the poor and forced evictions. 

The demonstrators opposed the displacement and eviction of poor residents in the name of Zone-O, and demanded that the right to housing be guaranteed.

The protest was held under the slogans: "Stop evicting the poor in the name of Zone-O!", "Housing is our right, not a crime!", "We need homes, not bulldozers!", "Stop forced evictions!", and "Guarantee the right to housing!" Activists from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation (CPI(ML) Liberation), All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), and Communist Ghadar Party of India (CGPI) participated in the demonstration.

Among those who addressed the gathering were Amra Ram, Polit Bureau member of the CPI(M) and Member of Parliament, and Subhashini Ali, senior CPI(M) leader and former Member of Parliament.
