CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby and senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat were present in the procession to support the two candidates.
For several days, Baby has been attending processions and public meetings on behalf of various candidates in the state. From there, he said that the response of the people of Bengal to the Leftists shows that the path of Left revival is gradually widening. The same words were reflected in his speech during the gathering. Baby said the election was fought keeping in mind the goal of Left revival. “We have also seen spontaneous responses from the people in various places. And that enthusiasm says that the Left's success in Bengal is certain.”
Candidate Niloy Majumdar remarked, “We are reaching out to every house. There is nothing more to inform the people of this region about Trinamool corruption, so we are saying that you should trust the Left to protect the future of your children and solve your misery. We have stated our goal in the manifesto. That is what we told the people. We got a response.”
