Marina Pilajeva, long-time member of the Central Committee of the Hungarian Workers' Party and its head of international relations, passed away after a long illness.

Pilajeva's passing is considered an important loss not only for the Hungarian Workers' Party but also for the whole world communist movement. She was known as a true communist. Other communist and workers' parties have issued statements of condolence for her passing.
