National ceremony marks 100th anniversary of Communist Party of Ecuador

Communist Party of Ecuador had announced their slogan for their 100th year: “The rebellion continues! For a socialist future!”

PCE shares a message of struggle and unity from the national ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the party:

“With a display of militant strength and popular unity, the Communist Party of Ecuador commemorated May 23, the 100th anniversary of its class-based founding, establishing this political event as the militant starting point for the days of mobilization and debate that will take place throughout the country.

In a venue packed with hundreds of revolutionaries, the event was attended by representatives of labor unions, indigenous peoples and nationalities, allied political organizations, cultural organizations, artists, and solidarity groups, who reaffirmed the relevance of the socialist vision in the face of the current crisis. 

The day was filled with an overflowing energy of struggle, mystique, and fighting spirit—elements that reached their peak during the heartfelt tribute paid to the historic leaders and activists who have sustained the country’s popular resistance and socially conscious culture; this centennial represents our historical memory and the certainty that the PCE remains steadfast on the front lines of the struggle for Ecuador’s social transformation.”
