Communist Youth of Venezuela has released a statement regarding the earthquakes:
The Central Council of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (JCV) expresses its deep sorrow for the tragedy that occurred last Wednesday, June 24, due to the seismic events that severely affected the country, especially the central-capital region.
We extend our heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the families of the deceased citizens, as well as our wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the states of La Guaira, Carabobo, Yaracuy, Aragua, and the Caracas Metropolitan Area.
Given the magnitude of this emergency, the JCV makes a firm commitment to the well-being of the nation and offers its organizational capabilities. We urge JCV members nationwide to join support brigades to assist in rescue efforts in the most vulnerable communities.
We call for unity and calm and urge the general public to maintain civic conduct, strictly follow the recommendations of official state security and emergency channels, and cooperate with the deployed contingency plans, avoiding the spread of unverified information.
