The 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup is taking place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This year's tournament, which is featuring 48 teams for the first time, is the subject of many controversies. The Iranian national team took part in the tournament, as well; and made a very positive impression despite all the obstacles they faced from the US administration regarding the organisation of the event.
