The UZ-Friedenstage 2026 (UZ Peace Days) were held in Berlin from 28 to 30 August 2026. The three-day event was organised around Unsere Zeit (UZ), the socialist weekly newspaper of the German Communist Party (DKP), and took place at and around the FMP1 building (Franz-Mehring-Platz 1).

Communist Party of Greece condemns Achilles Shield

The Greek government signed an agreement with Israel on the "Achilles Shield" for the supply of air defense systems. The deal includes the "David's Sling" and "Spyder" systems, which are manufactured by "Rafael" and the "Barak MX" system, which is manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). In addition, the Israeli Defense Ministry claims that it will also supply Greece with "Drone Dome" systems, in a separate deal worth 26 million euros. The Communist Party of Greece issued a press statement on the agreement.
