A number of CPI(M) leaders and members were the target of Indian security forces on the 27th of May. Attacks followed the detainment of Pinarayi Vijayan. 

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) representatives warned against the risk of inter-community conflict.

On the 17th May, a discussion was organised on the 54th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh. The main speaker was the Acting General Secretary of the Party, Nur Ahmed Bakul. 

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) held a protest march with the message “Speak out against the rise in gas prices for gasoline, diesel, and LPG.”

A protest rally was held in Dhaka, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the initiative of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), demanding the government take urgent steps to prevent child deaths from measles and to bring to justice those responsible for the deaths of more than four hundred children from measles. 

The Communist Party of Pakistan strongly protested and condemned the killing of 12 innocent labourers by state agency personnel, calling for the perpetrators to be arrested immediately “Instead of covering up this extremely serious, inhumane, and intolerable crime, the facts should be brought to light and strict action taken against all those involved.” said the statement.
