The work of the National Council of Hadash concluded after the completion of the election of candidates for the first six seats on the Front’s list for the Knesset, following successive rounds of voting that determined the composition of the list. Hadash (Democratic Front for Peace and Equality) is the front organisation led by the Communist Party of Israel. 

The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia issued a statement about the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft Congress, to be held in the Czech Republic. It will take place in Brno from May 22 to 25, 2026. The Sudeten German Landsmannschaft was established after World War II on the initiative of a group of former supporters of fascist Sudeten politician Konrad Henlein and former Nazi party officials and has questioned the results of the defeat of German Nazism and the post-war order. The Sudeten crisis of 1938 was provoked by the demands of Nazi Germany, that the Sudetenland, a part of Czechoslovakia, be annexed to them, which happened after the later Munich Agreement.  

The Irish revolutionary socialist leader James Connoly was commemorated by the Communist Party of Ireland at the 110th anniversary of his death. He was executed for his leading role in the 1916 Easter Uprising against British rule in Ireland. The commemoration took place at the Arbour Hill military cemetery, where his body was placed, without rite or coffin, with 13 of his comrades in a common grave. He remains an important figure for the Irish labour and socialist movement.

The Communist Party of Pakistan strongly protested and condemned the killing of 12 innocent labourers by state agency personnel, calling for the perpetrators to be arrested immediately “Instead of covering up this extremely serious, inhumane, and intolerable crime, the facts should be brought to light and strict action taken against all those involved.” said the statement.

The Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) has issued a series of statements and interventions over the course of this week, condemning what it describes as a systematic pattern of right-wing attacks on public services, national sovereignty, and the wellbeing of working people and municipalities across Portugal.

The Political Office of the Communist Front and the National Secretariat of the Communist Youth Front (FGC) condemned in a joint statement the planned mass layoffs of 1.700 workers by the multinational Electrolux, as well as the planned closure of several facilities, including the one of Cerreto d’Esi, in the province of Ancona. 

A group of Croatian citizens were attacked while they were commemorating the Victory Day. The Socialist Workers' Party of Croatia (SRP) issued a press statement and condemned the attack. 

The Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), once again emerged as the leading force in the university student elections held across Greece. The list supported by KNE, "Panspoudastiki KS," got 32.47% of the vote and more than 14,900 votes in total. 

The Constitutional Court of South Africa has ruled that Parliament’s Phala Phala vote was invalid and unconstitutional. Following the Constitutional Court’s judgment, the parliamentary impeachment committee will conduct fresh investigations.

The Lebanese Communist Party has issued a political report on the recent developments in the Middle East. The report assesses the aggression against Iran, Lebanon, and the countries and peoples of the Middle East and emphasises that it is one link in the chain of the project seeking to renew US unilateral hegemony over the world, after the foundations of this hegemony began to shake from the beginning of the third millennium.  

Following the declaration of Communist Party deputy Lorena Pizarro that 'we must organize, we must mobilize' in response to the government's unpopular measures, the country's main far-right representatives expressed strong criticism of the Communist Party, including the suggestion of outlawing the group.
