The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, informed the National Assembly of People's Power about the progress of the implementation of the Economic and Social Transformations, on the first month of their implementation.
The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel and the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda participated on the 22nd of April morning in the event held at the party headquarters to support the #MiFirmaPorLaPatria initiative.
The Party issued a statement on the anniversary of the defence of socialism at Playa Girón. The statement said, “Heir to the revolutionary traditions of our people, the Communist Party of Cuba arrives at this April 16th with new motivations in defence of unity, the beautiful work of the Revolution and a historical legacy that already adds up to more than one hundred years of struggle.
That day – when the entire population came out to defend socialism on the sands of Playa Girón – is considered the founding date of our Party.”
