The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, informed the National Assembly of People's Power about the progress of the implementation of the Economic and Social Transformations, on the first month of their implementation.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that strengthening national defense and combat readiness under the concept of the "War of the Whole People" remains a fundamental priority in light of what he described as the continued hostile policy of the United States and the constant threat of aggression against Cuba.

Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, gave an interview to journalist Roberto Cavada, of the Grupo de Comunicación Corripio, of the Dominican Republic, at the Palace of the Revolution, on June 19, 2026, “Year of the Centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz”.

Cuba has paid tribute to the late revolutionary commander Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, in a series of official ceremonies attended by the country’s political and military leadership, as well as members of the public.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba convened for a plenary session to discuss and adopt economic transformations. These were later presented to the National Assembly of Cuba. 

The President of the United States has made new threatening statements against Cuba, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury has added new names of Cuban leaders, organizations, and companies to an illegitimate sanctions list.
