The 23rd National Congress of the Union of Socialist Youth (UJS) came to an end on Sunday (July 5th), in Rio de Janeiro. The Congress held a broad agenda of debates on the challenges of Brazilian youth and defining the political guidelines for the coming years.
The Haifa City Council approved the appointment of Attorney Fakhar Bayadsi, a member of the Hadash faction led by the Communist Party of Israel, as deputy mayor under a coalition rotation agreement, with 17 councillors voting in favor and nine against.

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) has organised rallies in several cities across the country, to protest the NATO Summit held in the capital city of Ankara. The demonstration in Ankara was brutally attacked by the security forces and over 130 communists were detained. Communist and workers parties from all around the world issued solidarity statements with TKP and a common statement has been issued to express solidarity.

The Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), meeting on 27–28 June 2026, reviewed the national and international political situation, assessed recent workers' struggles, and outlined the Party's priorities for the coming period. It concluded that Portugal is experiencing an intensification of the conflict between the interests of big capital and the interests of workers and other anti-monopoly social groups, arguing that the country's political and economic direction continues to deepen exploitation, inequality and external dependence.
